2007 Lost Pine Merlot
Lost Pine Merlot typifies the power of mountain fruit. Sourced from block 51, which at 1,400 feet is one of the highest elevation Merlot blocks on the Estate, where the mountain conditions produce dense structure and chewy tannins. This Merlot is a structured, tannic example whose best days are 2-3 years in the future. A big, dense ruby-purple hued effort, it offers up notes of mocha, black cherries, and chocolate in a full-bodied style.
